Senior Director, Clinical Development

Why I'm a JPAL

I have extensive early drug development experience in biotech and large pharma.

I have 10 years of professional experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical organizations of various sizes. This is underpinned by 11 years medical, surgical and academic experience. My industry experience has enabled me to cultivate a strong and diverse foundation for drug development following deep involvement in the clinical development of three chronic hepatitis B direct-acting antiviral small molecules, one immune-based chronic hepatitis B small molecule, one chronic hepatitis B therapeutic vaccine, 6 chronic hepatitis C direct-acting antiviral small molecules, one chronic hepatitis C biologic, one HIV direct-acting antiviral small molecule, one influenza direct-acting antiviral small molecule, one oncology small molecule and one cardiac biologic. To this end, I have led the strategic planning and execution of global clinical development plans and clinical trials ranging from First In-Man Phase 1 to Phase 4 single and multi-center studies. From these multiple clinical trials, I have demonstrated a capacity to successfully manage and lead cross-functional global teams, both virtually and in-person. Having held local, regional and global positions in the UK, Europe and the USA, respectively, I have excellent cross-cultural organizational working experience. I am recognized as an emotionally intelligent leader who is adaptable, dynamic, analytic and creative. My key leadership skills include: strategic entrepreneurial management; organizational management; listening and communication; negotiation and influencing.

"Create opportunities....Don't wait for them to happen!"

Fun fact:
I love Rap/R&B music and the concept of space exploration. If I had the talent and opportunity, I would have loved to have been a rap singer or a start-ship captain.
