Why I'm a JPAL
I was asked to be involved last year by the Chief Medical Officer (Consumer) - I believe because of my years of experience in the industry, and particularly the area of medical safety and pharmacovigilance.
I am a physician (medical training at Cambridge University, UK and the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London) and joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1994 when I worked in Clinical Development at Roche before spending 22+ years at Procter & Gamble mainly in post-market safety surveillance for medicines and medical devices. I joined J&J Consumer QPPV Office last year as a Director and Deputy Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance.
Failure is not an option
I used to be in the Territorial Army where I learned to drive tanks and fire machine guns!
