Why I'm a JPAL
I think it a privilege to interact with new entrepreneurs, at the intersection where technology and science combine to make an impact, and to share my experiences and knowledge to grow together.
After joining Janssen China R&D in 2018, Tianyuan led drug discovery projects in hematological cancers in Shanghai discovery center and recently moved to translational research roles in Heme malignancies. Prior to Janssen, she was drug discovery scientist taking on increasing responsibilities in Onocology for Ionis, a nucleic acid therapeutics biotech company in the US. She was educated in Peking University in China, and obtained her doctoral degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Chamapaign.
"It is about simple awareness -- awareness of what is so real and essential, so hidden in plain sight all around us, that we have to keep reminding ourselves, over and over: "This is water, this is water." It is unimaginably hard to do this, to stay conscious and alive, day in and day out."

I enjoy great hikes, including getting on top of the Half Dome in Yosemite, traversing Haleakela, dipping toes into Colorado river in Grand Canyon... The re-invigorating and renewal power of the great outdoors!
