Paula Larkin

Paula is the Project Coordinator for Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS, QuickFire Challenge and is based in JLABS @ South San Francisco. In this role she supports the QuickFire Challenges by leading all stages of the applicant review process including the recruitment and training of reviewers and judges, management of the review and judging committee meetings and maintenance of the scoring and reporting platform.  Additionally Paula is responsible for managing all legal and regulatory reviews are completed for each QuickFire Challenge.

Before JLABS, Paula was the Non-Clinical Study Assistant at BioMarin, a pharmaceutical company that develops therapeutics for orphan diseases such as PKU, MPS I/IVA/VI, CLN2, etc. Based at their headquarters in San Rafael, she was an integral member of the Pharmacological Sciences Operations team and was responsible for undertaking essential activities associated with the management of nonclinical studies, supporting projects across research departments, and maintenance of the company’s GLP Master Schedule. Prior to this, Paula was the data analyst and technical report writer for VERT Environmental, an environmental testing and consulting company based in San Diego, CA. There she analyzed lab data, authored technical reports, maintained client relationships and provided administrative support pertaining to industry regulatory requirements.

Paula holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Regis University in Denver, CO.
