Intuitap Medical

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

IntuiTap is improving the accuracy and efficiency of spinal taps and epidurals.

How is what you're doing different than other attempts to solve this problem?

Currently the procedure is done "blind", using a palpation technique to guess where to insert the needle. We are providing physicians with real-time imaging of the vertebrae and needle guidance to help them place the needles more accurately.

Why are you passionate about what you're working on?

There are over 12.7M spinal punctures performed each year in the US alone, so we have a real opportunity to change the way these procedures are being performed. We will be able to significantly minimize patient pain and physician frustration which is why I am passionate about our product.

What achievement are you most proud of?

Being named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in healthcare this year is something I am very proud of. I think it is great recognition for the meaningful work my team and I are doing at IntuiTap.
