Johnson & Johnson Innovation Announces Winner of the Health Technology Innovator QuickFire Challenge: Mobile Wellness Management

SANTA CLARA, September 18, 2018 — Johnson & Johnson Innovation today announced that Berlin, Germany-based Qompium NV, developer of mobile applications for the healthcare sector including Fibricheck, has been selected as the winner of the Health Technology Innovator QuickFire Challenge: Mobile Wellness Management, the first in the new Health Technology Innovator QuickFire Challenge series. The announcement was made by Rowan Chapman, the Head of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, California at Health 2.0 in Santa Clara.

As part of the Mobile Wellness Management Challenge, FibriCheck is receiving a $25,000 grant, optional residency at an available JLABS location, acceptance into the HealthTech @JLABS program, and mentorship and coaching from Johnson & Johnson Innovation’s global network of experts.

The Health Technology Innovator QuickFire Challenge: Mobile Wellness Management was launched on March 9, 2018 to encourage global entrepreneurs and innovators to submit game-changing mobile health technologies or solutions across all stages (ideation, pre-clinical, clinical, and post-approval) that are designed to advance healthcare. Applicants were encouraged to submit their best ideas that use mobile health technology in the areas of: interception and prevention of disease, intelligent devices for therapy delivery, customer collaboration with providers and payers, and ubiquitous and accessible healthcare.

The QuickFire Challenges are managed by Johnson & Johnson Innovation, JLABS, to address today’s greatest health care challenges.
