To provide scientific, technical, medical, clinical, and business insights to JLABS companies focused on the neurosciences (brain, spine, and peripheral nerves).
John Pracyk is medical executive and leader in the design, development, and commercialization of medical devices. Prior to joining J&J, he was clinically active as a neurological surgeon and program architect creating collaborative healthcare delivery platforms for multidisciplinary spine and brain care. He also served as a strategic healthcare consultant to medical device companies and integrated delivery networks regarding value analysis and market access. Since joining DePuy Synthes Spine in 2016, John has had several roles of increasing responsibility. First, he was medical director for new product development and then became medical leader incorporating life-cycle product management. More recently he was selected to lead Pre-clinical & Clinical Research in addition to Medical Affairs (PCM). John obtained his BS, MD and PhD (Pharmacology) degrees at Duke University, trained in neurosurgery at The George Washington University, and completed postdoctoral research and clinical fellowships at Cambridge University, the National Institutes of Health, and the University of Iowa.
