Nurses Innovate Quickfire Challenge

This challenge is now closed. However, the third Challenge in the Nurses Innovate series - the Johnson & Johnson Nurses Innovate QuickFire Challenge in Maternal & Newborn Health is accepting applications through October 10, 2019. Click here to learn more.

Around the world, nurses are innovating to ensure the best possible care for patients. To “nurse someone back to health” is an iconic saying grounded in nurses’ charge to change the trajectory of patient outcomes by compassionately caring for the sick, identifying smarter and better ways to heal, and developing new potentially life-saving methods.

For over 120 years, Johnson & Johnson has supported the nursing profession because we believe nurses are uniquely positioned to change the global trajectory of health for humanity. Nurses are our critical partners on the front lines of care and are the backbone of healthcare systems globally. Nurses are leaders, innovators, and compassionate caregivers, requiring resiliency and resourcefulness to navigate the intricacies of health.

We are proud to support and elevate the visibility and impact of nursing by championing nurse-led innovation, supporting skills development, developing nurse leaders and strengthening nurse resiliency. We are committed to advocating for, and empowering nurses globally as critical drivers of better health outcomes.

As a part of our advocacy for the nursing profession, we recognize that partnering with nurses is critical to help bring these ideas to life.

That’s why we are excited to continue the Johnson & Johnson Nurses Innovate QuickFire Challenge series with a new challenge focused on Perioperative Care together with the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). Nurses around the world are invited to submit innovative ideas with the goal to improve perioperative care and change human health, including solutions that aim to address the physical and psychological impact of patients throughout pre, intra, and post-operative care. The nurse innovators with the best idea(s) will receive up to $100,000 in grant funding and access to mentoring and coaching from experts across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies to help bring their ideas to life.

As innovators on the frontlines of healthcare, nurses have the power to profoundly change lives. Johnson & Johnson has the scale, resources and know-how to help move them forward. Put these two together, and that changes everything.
